Player AgreementRotherham Town Junior Football Club is a local team; based in the local area and whom have been very successful since being established in 1998. Since this time the club has operated on a largely self funded basis relying mainly on the collection of subscriptions from players and some fund raising activities to fund its football. The club's main philosophies are those of enjoyment and improvement for ALL its members and this is kept up most in all its activities. Less emphasis is placed on the winning of games, although it is always nice to do so. The club welcomes any one, without prejudice, intending to become part of the club who can uphold the above philosophies and who can be in agreement with the following points. Registration 1. Players registered to Rotherham Town for the current playing season must not play for any other Sheffield and Hallamshire FA affiliated team playing in the Sheffield Sunday League. 2. Approaches from other clubs, Academy or School of Excellence teams should be reported to the Team Manager, and the Club Secretary/Chairman. 3. All applications to be released from the Club must be made through the Club Secretary and will need to be approved by the Sheffield Sunday League Secretary. 4. A registration fee of ____is due on 1St August of new playing season. This should be returned by this date together with this form, and player registration form. 5. Subscription charges for the season are ________ per month during the playing season (September to April inclusive). All due subscriptions are due on the first day of each month. The Club reserves the right to not play any player in arrears with subscriptions. 6. Payments of subscriptions for the season in one payment during the first month are greatly beneficial to the running of the club. Subscriptions paid in this way will be charged at ____ for the season. Child Protection 7. Rotherham Town JFC operates in accordance with the FA Child Protection Guidelines. A copy of its policy is available to ALL parents. Anyone found to be in breach of this policy will be expelled from the Club and will be reported to the appropriate authorities. 8. All managers and other club officials with regular contact with the children are to be registered under Child Protection Guidelines with the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA. 9. Your child's welfare remains your responsibility during ALL Rotherham Town JFC activities. Managers, assistants and other helpers cannot accept responsibility for your child during such activities without their prior consent. Equipment and Facilities 10. Playing and Training facilities are not the property of the Club. ALL people present at these venues are expected to treat facilities with respect. Any damage caused to facilities being used, which are not as a direct result of supervised training/playing, will be the responsibility of the offender. 11. Equipment and kit belonging to the Club must be afforded the same respect. Any damage caused to equipment and kit being used, which is not as a result of normal wear and tear, will be the responsibility of the offender. General Behaviour 12. Rotherham Town JFC has an excellent team of managers, assistants and helpers. Without there contributions the club would cease to exist please show them the courtesy you would expect yourself. 13. Managers commit to show positive attitudes towards players, parents and game officials at all times. Mangers will endeavour to use positive comments at all times, will not abuse players or parents and will only indulge in constructive criticism where appropriate. 14. Players are expected to show positive attitudes, and to follow directions given by managers. The managers will not permit disruptive behaviour during games or practices. 15. Players must show courtesy towards teammates at all times. Managers will not permit name-call mg, teasing, criticizing or other acts designed to hurt feelings or cause injury. 16. During games, players are expected to show courtesy to opponents and to referees. The decision of the referee is binding and he/she should be shown respect at ALL times 17. Parents MUST avoid any taunting of opponents or disagreement with the referees, in order to teach sportsmanship to our kids. 18. All communications to any child or teammates should be general and positive ("Good pass", "Nice kick", "Way to go"). Please avoid giving coaching instructions or criticizing your child. 19. Fines incurred on the Club by the League for bad behaviour of players not being directly supervised by the manager or other club officials will be the responsibility of the offender. Failure to accept this responsibility for this could lead to expulsion from the Club. 20. Match and Practice Rules 21. It is appreciated if players call the manager if they will miss practice. 22. Players/Parents must advise the manager as soon as possible if the player will be unable to make a game. Note: If a player looks questionable due to illness or injury, please call in order to allow back up plan if player is unavailable. 23. It is recognised that players need to play regularly to improve their performance. In accordance with its philosophy on enjoyment and non-discrimination, the Club will endeavour to ensure all players get an opportunity to play in matches on a regular basis. Failure to follow Team Rules, and abide by the Player Agreement, may result in appropriate discipline being taken (including reduced playing time).
